Why this matters
We talk about the people closest to us in ready-made phrases. Ten words leave nowhere to hide.
What to do
Pick one person — someone you think you know by heart. Take a sheet and write words in a row without filtering: gestures, habits, how they go quiet, what they say for the third time, how their kitchen smells. When you have thirty, start crossing out until ten are left. Looks don't count: height, eyes, hair go first. With the last cuts, keep only what would fit no one else. If you dare, send them the ten words.
