View from the window

Hundreds of lives pass you every day and all of them are background. Half an hour and the background breaks into people.

Sit by a window with a piece of street in view and put the phone out of reach. For the first ten minutes invent nothing, just look — the eye catches movement first, and only then starts noticing people. Choose five who snag your attention somehow: the walk, the bag, how long they waited at the crossing. Give each a name and one line: where they're going and what their day held. Don't judge and don't mock — invent as if you'll meet them later. Spend the rest of the time just watching, with no task.
