A fast yes is rarely a decision. More often it is a way of not having to hold the pause.
What to do
Today wait for the first request you would say yes to without thinking, and instead say: give me an hour, I will get back to you. Say it calmly, without explanation, as if it were normal — because it is a normal sentence, not rudeness. Then actually take the hour and do not answer sooner, even when it starts to feel awkward. In that hour answer three things: do you want this, do you have the time for it, and what will not get done if you agree. After the hour, come back with your answer yourself, without waiting to be reminded — that part is not optional. The answer can be anything; what matters is that it is yours and not a reflex.
