What to do
Sit down and remember when you first heard that something was beyond your means. Write the sentence down word for word, the way it was said, tone included. Next to it write who said it and how old you were. Say the sentence out loud in your own voice and notice what your body does. Then write underneath whether it is true about your money today — not about the money back then.
