What to do
Pick someone whose work you genuinely value but have only praised to their face, or to nobody. Find a person for whom their reputation matters: a boss, a client, a team, a parent. Say it or write it, short and concrete — not he is great, but what exactly they did and why it was good. One example is enough, the more specific the better. Do not ask anyone to pass it on and do not report back to the person that you praised them. Let it reach them on its own, or not at all.
