What to do
Find the job posting you opened and closed because you do not tick every requirement. Read the requirements again and mark honestly what you truly lack and what you simply do not count as experience out of habit. Write a short letter: what you can actually do, where you did it, what you can not do — plainly, in one line, no apology. Do not discount yourself in the opening with things like I realise I am probably not a fit. Send it today, without giving yourself a night to reconsider. Then let go of the answer — the task was completed the moment you hit send.
