A day as a rich person
medium courage 480 min +180 XP
Live one day the way you would if it had already worked out: the clothes, the breakfast, the restaurant, the test drive
Why this matters
This is not about spending money. It is about not refusing yourself for one day and seeing how many of those refusals were habit rather than price.
What to do
Pick the day in advance and set a sum you would not regret losing — it can be quite small, the sum is not the point. In the morning put on the best you own instead of what you save for an occasion, and eat breakfast sitting down, at a table, with no phone. Then all day catch the phrase “this is not for me” — every time it shows up, stop and look at what the thing actually costs. Do three of the things you always postpone: take a taxi instead of the bus, sit at the table by the window, walk into an expensive shop and try on something you are not going to buy, book a test drive. Talk to the staff like someone who has a right to be there — not acting it, just not apologising. In the evening write down every “no” you said today and next to each one the price in money.
Afterwards
How many of my “I can’t afford that” are actually about money?
