Find food with a name you can't read. In a store, at a market, in a restaurant, at a gas station in another country — anywhere. Don't google it. Just take it and try. Trust.
Why this matters
We eat the same things for years because everything else has a label we cannot read. Fifteen minutes, and one of them becomes familiar.
What to do
Go into a shop with food that is not yours: Asian, Polish, Turkish, halal, or the international aisle of a supermarket. Find a package whose name you cannot read, and do not point your camera at it to translate. Go by the picture and the weight in your hand, pick something small and cheap. One exception: do check the ingredients if you have an allergy. Buy it, bring it home and try it straight away, not on some suitable occasion. After the first bite you can go and find out what it was.
