What to do
Pick someone you see regularly: the postman, the guard at the entrance, the cleaner, the person in the kiosk. Wait for a moment when they are not busy and walk up properly, not shouting over a counter on the run. Say it straight: we say hello every day and I still do not know your name. Give your own name first — that turns the question into an exchange rather than an interrogation. Remember the name and say it out loud once during the conversation so it sticks. Tomorrow, greet them by name.
